The name

An atalaya is a watchtower — a place to look out, and to look after one another.

The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program at The University of Texas at Dallas brings together an exceptional community of scholars and, in time, of alumni. This network is where that community stays connected long after graduation.

Consider it a shared vantage point: a way to see where everyone has gone, to open doors for one another, and to keep the class of every year within reach.
